Isko Moreno Reelected as Mayor of Manila in Unofficial Tally

Moreno secures a decisive victory with 541,963 votes, defeating incumbent Honey Lacuna and other candidates.
Francisco Domagoso, commonly known as Isko Moreno, has been unofficially declared the elected mayor of Manila following the latest tally from the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Moreno received a total of 541,963 votes, significantly surpassing his closest rival, incumbent mayor Honey Lacuna, who garnered 192,759 votes.

Sam 'SV' Versoza finished third with 166,070 votes, while other candidates Raymond Bagatsing and Michael Say also participated but received fewer votes.

The unofficial results indicate a strong resurgence of Moreno, who previously served as the 23rd mayor of Manila, having first won the post by defeating former president Joseph 'Erap' Estrada.

After his term, Moreno attempted a run for the presidency in the 2022 national elections but was unsuccessful.

In a separate election in Pasig City, incumbent mayor Vico Sotto appeared to be comfortably leading the race for reelection.

As of May 12, 2023, Sotto had accumulated 262,906 votes according to partial and unofficial results, maintaining a considerable gap over his closest contender, Sarah Discaya, who reported 21,775 votes.

Other candidates in the mayoral race, Cory Palma and Eagle Ayaon, received 238 and 219 votes, respectively.

The race for vice mayor saw Dodot Jaworski leading with 217,750 votes, comfortably ahead of Iyo-Caruncho Bernardo and Kuya-Marc Dela Cruz.

In the congressional election, Roman Romulo is leading with 260,566 votes, aiming for his third term in the House of Representatives.

His contender, Ian Sia, was disqualified from the election due to remarks made at a campaign rally.

In the senatorial race for the upcoming 2025 elections, Senator Bong Go leads with 14,314,235 votes based on the latest counts from 67.76% of local election returns.

Other leading candidates include Bam Aquino with 11,883,138 votes, and Bato Dela Rosa with 10,847,704 votes.

The list includes several prominent political figures and highlights the competitive nature of the electoral landscape.

As of the latest reports, vote counting processes are still ongoing across various regions, reflecting a continuing engagement in the Philippine electoral system.
