Canadian Manufacturing Reopens Branch in Cebu, Emphasizing Quality and Sustainability

The linen and home essentials company unveils a new showroom in Mandaue City, focusing on the hospitality and healthcare sectors.
Canadian Manufacturing, a prominent entity in the linens and home essentials sector, officially reopened its branch at Unit 103, Vel Ouano Center, Highway, Mandaue City on May 8, 2025. This reopening seeks to enhance service delivery to institutional clients in the hospitality and healthcare industries in Cebu, following a temporary closure during the pandemic.

The inauguration event was led by company president Chand Daryanani, who was accompanied by Justin Ouano and Marian Unchuan.

During his opening remarks, Daryanani expressed gratitude to longstanding clients, stating, "For a lot of you, you’ve been our loyal clients for over a decade.

We’re truly blessed and honored to be back in Cebu.

We couldn’t have done this without your support."

Canadian Manufacturing traces its origins back to 1959 under the name New Creation Manufacturing, initially specializing in bed sheets, comforters, and towels.

The brand transitioned to Canadian Manufacturing in 2003, continuing to expand its product offerings and maintain a focus on the same corporate vision.

The newly established office in Cebu functions not only as a retail space but also as a showroom designed for institutional clients such as hotels, hospitals, and spas.

This facility features product displays on actual bed setups to assist clients in customizing their orders to meet specific needs.

Daryanani explained the purpose of the new showroom, stating, "This office is really more for mass production and customized clients.

Hotels and hospitals require different specifications — from fabric type to pillow firmness — so having this space allows us to show and build exactly what our clients need."

Sustainability has become a pivotal aspect of Canadian Manufacturing's operations.

The company has implemented solar panel systems to minimize its carbon footprint and utilizes Oeko-Tex certified fabrics along with compliant dyes.

Additionally, approximately 30 percent of its packaging has transitioned from plastic to fabric.

Daryanani highlighted this commitment to sustainable practices, saying, "We’re one of the first companies to use fabric packaging.

Our goal is to further increase that percentage.

It’s all part of contributing to climate change reduction through renewable energy and sustainable practices."

Furthermore, Canadian Manufacturing aims to enhance its community involvement in Cebu.

Daryanani mentioned past corporate social responsibility initiatives in Manila, including support for orphanages and educational programs for employees’ children, and expressed eagerness to replicate such efforts in Cebu.

Though primarily focused on institutional supply, Canadian Manufacturing also makes its products available to individual homeowners through major retail partners including SM, Shopwise, and Robinsons.

Daryanani concluded with a reminder about the company’s local roots: "Please support local.

Canadian Manufacturing may sound international, but we’re a proudly Filipino company — founded here, grown here and still standing strong after 66 years."

The reopening of the Mandaue branch underscores Canadian Manufacturing's ongoing dedication to delivering customized, high-quality products while fostering sustainability and community engagement.
