Series of Arrests in Child Abuse and Drug-Related Cases Across the Philippines

Police operations in Cavite, Bulacan, and Quezon City lead to the capture of multiple suspects wanted for serious offenses.
In a recent operation, a man described as the 'most wanted person' in Cavite, Philippines, was arrested for violating the Republic Act 7610, which pertains to child abuse.

The suspect, known locally as Paul and identified as a resident of Barangay 54-A, was apprehended by the Cavite City Police on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court of Cavite City.

The arrest took place around 8:30 PM, led by Police Colonel Jesus Erickson S. Polinag, alongside the 401st Regional Mobile Force Battalion.

The warrant relates to Criminal Case No. 255-2025.

In a separate operation in Bulacan on May 15, 2025, police apprehended six individuals during a manhunt operation.

Among those arrested was a suspect identified as Arturo, a 41-year-old resident of Barangay Graceville in San Jose Del Monte.

Arturo was marked as the second most wanted person at the city level and faces charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. His arrest was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the tracker team of the San Jose Del Monte Police Station, with a warrant issued by Branch 120 of the Regional Trial Court, San Jose Del Monte.

Additional operations in Bulacan led to the arrest of five more individuals tied to separate cases, with authorities emphasizing their commitment to combating criminal activities in the province.

Meanwhile, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) reported the capture of three of its most wanted individuals in separate operations.

The District Intelligence Division executed a warrant for Francis, aged 24, in a commercial establishment in Robinsons Novaliches.

He faces charges under the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.

Furthermore, Fritz, aged 24, was arrested in the Taguig City Jail on charges related to the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, and Maribel, aged 53, was taken into custody for estafa-related cases.

The authorities are conducting these operations as part of a broader campaign to apprehend wanted individuals and ensure accountability for various criminal activities across the regions.

Additionally, a tragic incident involving a 23-year-old social media influencer occurred in Zapopan, Guadalajara, Mexico.

Valeria Marquez was shot and killed while live-streaming on TikTok in her salon.

The shooter reportedly approached her under the guise of a delivery person.

Investigators are exploring potential motives for the crime, with initial inquiries suggesting a possible connection to gender-based violence, an issue that has become increasingly concerning in Mexico, where reports indicate significant daily incidents of violence against women.

In a separate incident in Cebu City, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) executed a raid that resulted in the arrest of 17 Taiwanese nationals suspected of involvement in a large-scale online scam operation.

This operation, which took place on May 15, revealed a sophisticated setup for conducting romance scams targeting victims primarily in Taiwan.

The Taiwanese nationals are reportedly associated with the 'Four Seas Gang', an organized crime group.

The NBI's action was prompted by information received from the Taiwanese Police Attaché regarding the gang members' activities in the Philippines.

The arrested individuals may face charges in the Philippines for various offenses, including computer-related forgery and economic sabotage, while also being sought for extradition to Taiwan for related crimes.
