The Commission on Elections (Comelec) in the Philippines has finalized the official tally for the 2025 midterm party-list elections, revealing that Akbayan has retained its position at the forefront of the race, accumulating over 2.776 million votes.

The results were disclosed in the National Certificate of Canvass for the elections held on May 12, which showcased participation from a total of 155 party-lists.

Overall, the elections recorded 41,658,790 votes for party-lists.

The rankings released by Comelec reflect a close alignment with previously reported partial and unofficial results from media transparency servers, though slight variations were noted.

Such variations could significantly influence seat allocations, as seen with the 4Ps party-list, which now stands to earn only two seats instead of the possible three, based on the revised vote counts.

According to Comelec, the number of party-lists likely to gain at least one seat ranges between 53 and 54. The National Board of Canvassers oversaw the canvassing process, reviewing a total of 175 certificates of canvass (COCs), including those from overseas voters.

The canvassing took place across three days: with 58 COCs processed on May 13, 101 on May 14, and 16 on May 15.

Voter turnout for the elections was reported at 82.20%, with a total of 57,350,968 votes cast from the 69,673,653 registered voters in the country.

While the tally has been made official, Comelec indicated that the numbers remain subject to further audit, and a resolution addressing seat allocations is anticipated for release on May 19, coinciding with the proclamation of the winning party-lists.
