Vice Ganda, a prominent figure in Philippine entertainment, has recently come under fire for endorsing senatorial candidate Benhur Abalos, the former Secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

This endorsement was made public through a post on Vice Ganda's social media platforms, where he expressed support for Abalos, stating, "Kesa naman ‘yong mga walang kuwenta ang pumasok sa Top 12, dito na ako #1 Abalos, Benhur." This translated to expressing his preference for Abalos over other candidates in the race.

The response from social media users has been largely critical, with many expressing their disapproval of Vice Ganda's choice.

Comments included: "ay bahala ka diyan vice ganda," which conveys indifference, indicating that some followers are not supportive of the endorsement; "Trabaho lang daw mga boss [laughing emoji]," suggesting skepticism towards the endorsement; "Pass po muna, Vice," indicating a refusal to support Abalos; and "Sorry meme, BIG NO!" expressing outright rejection of the endorsement.

Despite the backlash, Vice Ganda has remained silent regarding the negative feedback.

Meanwhile, Benhur Abalos expressed gratitude towards Vice Ganda for the endorsement, noting the significance of such support in the final days of the campaign.

On his Facebook page, he said, "Sa mga huling araw ng kampanya, hindi po natin akalaing makatatanggap tayo ng ganito kalaking suporta.

Maraming salamat sa nag-iisang unkabogable, Vice Ganda! Taos-puso akong nagpapasalamat sa tiwalang ibinigay mo.

Pangako, iingatan at susuklian ko ito ng tapat at solidong paglilingkod sa Senado!" Additionally, Vice Ganda has also voiced support for other candidates, including Atty.
