Facebook account used to solicit money from the relatives and friends of their victim in Barangay San Lucas, Calabanga, Camarines Sur.
The suspects were apprehended in the act while accepting a sum of 5,000 PHP sent by the victim's aunt.
Another suspect, identified as 'Ely', aged 25, managed to evade capture.
The victim, 'Paul', 28, a resident of Concepcion Pequeña, Naga City, reported that the suspects had used his photo to create a fake profile and deceive his aunt into sending them money.
In response to the complaint, a joint operation was carried out by the Camarines Sur Provincial Police Office, the Catanduanes Police, and the Calabanga Municipal Police Station.
During the operation, authorities confiscated two smartphones and the 5,000 PHP sent by the victim's aunt.
The suspects now face charges under Republic Act 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, specifically for Computer-Related Identity Theft.
