Representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) have located and engaged with the woman, popularly referred to as the 'Sadako Girl,' who was recently seen emerging from a drainage system in Makati City.

Facebook page regarding the situation.
According to the DSWD, the woman is set to undergo assessment and intervention services.
'After being found and interviewed by the DSWD Outreach Team, the woman has arrived at the Outreach Processing Center in Pasay City on Thursday (May 29) after her viral emergence from a sewage system in Salcedo Village, Barangay Bel-Air, Makati City,' the agency stated in their announcement.
The processing center will conduct a thorough assessment and provide appropriate interventions based on her circumstances and needs.
These steps are reportedly in accordance with directives received from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
'This action is based on President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive to the DSWD to provide comprehensive interventions for the woman to prevent her from returning to the streets,' the agency continued.
In recent days, a photograph captured by a social media user garnered attention online, showcasing the woman unexpectedly appearing from a drainage, surprising motorists in the area.
The incident sparked curiosity and prompted questions regarding the woman's activities inside the drainage system.
